After Tuesday’s defeat in the Romanian Cup in Mioveni, FC Botosani today reached an agreement with Mihai Teja on an amicable conclusion of contractual relations.
The 44-year-old signed for the Moldovan side in June after Marius Kroitoru announced he would not be on the Botosani bench.
Mihai Teja collected 18 matches as head coach of FC Botosani, winning 5, drawing 7 and losing 6.
The Moldovans are currently 12th in the Romanian Super League, 7 points away from the play-off zone, while Botosani are 3rd in Group B of the Romanian Cup with 3 points from two games played.
“FCBT announces today that it has terminated the contractual relationship with coach Mihai Teja, who has been on the bench of our team since June of this year.
As the club’s technician, Teja made 18 appearances in all competitions (16 in the league and 2 in the Romanian Cup), winning 5, drawing 7 and losing 6.
FCBT thanks Mihai Teja for this stage that we passed together and wishes him success in his career!” – says the press release of the club.
