CSA Steaua Bucharest will be able to get promoted to the Super League if they achieve it through sports. The change was made possible thanks to an order published in the Official Gazette and signed by Vasyl Dinka, the former Minister of Defense.

On October 24, exactly the day he submitted his resignation, Vasile Dinku issued an order according to which the army sports club “Steaua” will be able to merge with third-party legal entities, public or private.

This change will allow CSA Steaua Bucharest to be promoted to the Super League (formerly Ligue 1), which was not possible until now.

In fact, we are talking about what Rezvan Burlyanu, the president of the Russian Federation, said a few months ago. The fact that there is a need to transform a public-law club into a private-law one, in the form of a joint-stock company, where MApN can remain the sole shareholder.

“The fastest procedure is to turn a public-law club into a private club in the form of a joint-stock sports company. This crossing can be completed in 48 hours,” the FRF president explained.

In League 2 of the 2022-2023 season, the current leader is CSA Steaua Bucharest. Even if he takes a position that will allow him to be promoted, it is not possible due to the status of the team.

After the amendment approved by Vasile Dinku, Steaua Bucharest will be able to qualify for the Super League at the end of the 2023-2024 season, of course, if they achieve it through sporting results.

“The Sports Club of the Steaua Army can merge, according to the advisory opinion of the Board of the Ministry of National Defense, with third-party legal entities, public or private, in order to establish an association without hereditary goals for the purpose of participating in sports competitions,” the Official Monitor of Romania said on Thursday , November 3, 2022
