Daniil Medvedev unexpectedly withdrew from the Paris Masters

The fourth favorite in Paris, Medvedev produced a shaky performance as the former ATP leader alternated moments of inspiration with moments of looking tired and overly nervous.

The Russian had a difficult start to the match, he lost the first set (score 6-4), but made the necessary adjustments and won the second, one won with a score of 6-2.

The decider was tense, but with very high-quality tennis. Medvedev led 2:0, but the moments of wandering continued to multiply, and the Russian began to noticeably lose speed.

De Minaur believed in his chance until the end, returned to the table and, having missed two match points at the score of 6-5, managed to make the third effective.

The Australian won (6-4, 2-6, 7-5) a spectacular match that lasted two hours and 45 minutes.

In the eighth, Alex De Minaur will face Frances Tiafoe, the 16th favorite in Paris-Bercy.
