Carlo Ancelotti’s team authoritatively dominated the game, but finding a way to the goal was difficult. Vinicius Junior opened the score for Madrid in the 70th minute, and with 10 minutes to go, Stuani restored parity for the visitors, realizing a shot from 11 meters.

Real Madrid is one point above Barcelona

On Saturday night, Barcelona defeated Valencia in extra time (1-0, Robert Lewandowski) to move level with Real Madrid in the standings, and on Sunday, Los Blancos took just one point against the newly promoted side.

After 12 stages, the Spanish champions remain La Liga leaders Santander and will play in the next stage at Rayo Vallecano, the team that beat Sevilla (1-0) this weekend.
