Brighton – Chelsea 4-1, a match with two own goals

Chelsea, coached by ex-Brighton manager Graham Potter, won 3-0 at half-time after a goal from Leandro Trossard (5) and own goals from Loftus-Cheek (14) and Trevoch Chalob (42).

At halftime, the coach of the Londoners replaced goalkeeper Kepa with Mendy. The guests reduced the difference thanks to Kai Havertz (48), and the final score was set by Pascal Gross (92).

It was the first game in the history of the competition in which Chelsea scored two own goals. Currently, the Londoners remain in fifth place, eight points behind the leader.
