FCSB’s draw at Anderlecht will remain just one of the records, the Bucharesters were kicked out of the Conference League even before the last group stage. At the end of the match in Belgium, Nicolae Dike said he hoped his team would reach this phase of the European Cups, perhaps even the Champions League.

Nicolae Dike is happy with the draw with Anderlecht in the Conference League

The coach noted that the result obtained in Brussels is positive, which will give the players confidence in the next matches.

“I can say that we could have lost, but in the end we could have won. But as a game, as an attitude, this draw is deserved. This is an important result for the morale of the players. We faced a very good team, the most successful team in Belgium, with very experienced players. They played at home, the stadium was almost full, I am happy with the mood of the players.

Lately I’ve been in a good mood in all the games. I want more courage in the attacking phase, to have personality, to keep the ball one-on-one because we have quality and the attacking players should try to do that.

We are working on the coupe, we are working as a team and little by little we hope that we can stop making mistakes. The opponent made the first shot at the goal in the 38th minute and scored. We had a few chances before they scored and we didn’t manage to score.

It’s a shame we didn’t get more points. The disappointment is related to the two games we played against Silkeborg and we didn’t get anything out of it. I looked good with West Ham and in the two games with Anderlecht.

What matters is that we are here. This is another level, another rhythm. This is good for the players. It is important that in the future we, “Steaua” or other teams, enter the Conference League, the Europa League or, God forbid, the Champions League”, – Nicholas Dickat the Pro Arena.
