FCSB coach Nicolae Dike said it was normal to change individual players in the “first 11” for the match against Anderlecht in the Conference League, given that the starting players played on Monday night and were tired.

Nicolae Dike explained why he will use the reserve in the match against Anderlecht

“We came back from Sfantu Gheorghe (not after the Sepsi match) on Tuesday around 4am, we just recovered and today we set off again for Belgium. So I have to change some players in the team. Changing players is normal, it does not mean that we are not interested in this competition.

It is important for us that we got here, and it is equally important how we manage to finish the last two games. If we use players who have played less in the championship, it does not mean that we are not interested in this competition. We play on several fronts and we have to give other players a chance to develop.

We have a good opponent waiting for us, even if he is going through difficult moments in the championship and has changed his coach. “Anderlecht” is a good team, they have starting players for the Belgian national team, young players with great prospects. That is why I say that we are in for a very difficult game. We have to play a perfect game in all aspects to get a good result. Especially defensively, it is important not to give Anderlecht chances because they have quality in attack.

When the coach changes, the reaction of the players is positive because they want to show that they deserve to play in the starting lineup. We have to be ready for it tomorrow. We will try to develop a strategy to get a positive result.

Indeed, so far we have not achieved much in the Conference League, but our goal was to qualify for the groups. And then we tried to give more in the championship, where we still have to go and we want to enter the playoff zone” – Nicholas Dickat the press conference, quoted by Agerpres.
