Christian Kivu’s youth team, Inter Milan Under-19s, suffered a heavy 6-1 defeat at the hands of FC Barcelona in Group C of the UEFA Youth League.
The goals for the Catalans were scored by Riad (‘5), Fernandez (’20), Barbera (’45+2, penalty, ’68), Hernandez (’78) and Guya (’81).
Dominating from the 45th minute (Stante was sent off), Inter scored thanks to Fontanarosa (’86, penalty).
Also in Group C, Viktoria Plzeň unexpectedly won on the field of Bayern Munich with a score of 2:1.
According to Italian journalists Tuttosport, Christian Kivu is the favorite to replace Simone Inzaghi on the Inter bench, with the Italian vice-champions showing a poor start to the season (they are 9th in Serie A).
