2017 Roland Garros champion Ostapenko led 3-1 and 5-3 in the first set but eventually succumbed in a tiebreak, 7-6(4). Aleksandrova took complete control in the second set and won 6-0.
The final in Seoul lasted one hour and 24 minutes.

Kateryna Alexandrova also holds titles in Shenzhen (2020) and Hertogenbosch (2022). The Russian also made it to the last performance in Linz (2018) and Moscow (2021).
