Roger Federer on retirement day – Mr. Perfect explains the tennis GOAT

Pete Sampras praises Roger Federer ahead of his retirement from tennis

“I don’t know where to start, so I’ll start from the beginning. When we first met, you were only 19 years old, you were a promising player, but you were already talked about a lot.

I had a big fight on center court at Wimbledon and you beat me in five sets (not on London grass in 2001, in the fourth round).

I didn’t know that in the next twenty years you would win 20 major tournaments, that you would be number one for many years, that you would dominate our sport.

In fact, you really did everything. We will miss you in our game” – Pete Samprasin a message published on social networks.
