
On Monday, Rapid announced the signing of striker Kevin Lucassen, who played for Poli Iasi, Vitorul Constanta and Sepsi in Romania. Released from his contract following his last deal with Kayserispor, the Dutchman has signed for the Adrian Mutu-coached side.
29-year-old Kevin was wanted by Mutu in the Juleshti group.

Brought up in the youth team of AZ Alkmaar, Kevin made his senior football debut at Ross County, in the Scottish First League, where he spent half the season. Then the Dutchman moved to “Slovan” from Liberec, where he played for three years.
After the experience at St. Polten (Austria), Northampton (England) and Almere Omniworld (Netherlands), the Eindhoven-born forward, have arrived in Romania.
A good season at Iasi Polytechnic drew him to the attention of Gheorghe Hagi, who transferred him to Vitorul Constanta.
9 goals in 18 games was enough to convince the Turks from Kayserispor to buy him for €800,000.
Lucassen failed to establish himself in the Turkish Super Lig and after 14 games for Kayserispor was loaned out to Sepsi USK.
Lucassen made 27 appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring six times, with two goals coming directly against Rapid in a 2-2 draw at Sf.Gheorghe.
Out of contract since the summer, following the end of his contract with Kayserispor, Kevin signed a one-season contract with Rapid.
Lucassen’s list includes the Dutch Cup with Alkmaar, the Romanian Cup with Sepsi, the Czech Cup and Super Cup with Liberec, News.ro reports.
Rapid’s new forward played for the U18 (2/0) and U19 (3/2) national teams of the Netherlands.
