Issia Prisekariou withdrew from the same test before the start of the series.
The women’s 50m backstroke semi-finals will be held on Saturday at 02:02 and 02:06 (Romanian time).
Romania, an extraordinary result at the Junior World Championship in Lima
So far, Romania has won five medals at the World Championships in Lima:
- silver at the distance of 400 m freestyle among men (Vlad Stanku)
- gold in the men’s 4×100 m freestyle relay (David Popovici, Alexandra Constantinescu, Stefan Kozma and Patrick Sebastian Dinu)
- gold at the distance of 200 m freestyle (David Popovichi)
- silver in the 4×100 m freestyle medley relay (David Popovici, Patrick Sebastian Dinu, Bianca Costea and Rebecca Diaconescu)
- bronze at the distance of 800 m freestyle (Vlad Stanku).
