
The Romanian men’s 4x100m freestyle relay won gold at the World Junior Swimming Championships in Lima. David Popovich says the team he’s a part of is well-rounded, even though he’s not yet “on the biggest stage.”
David Popovici (47.07 – competition record), Alexandra Constantinescu, Stefan Kozma and Patrick Sebastian Dinu finished the race with a time of 3:18.84.
The podium was closed by France (3:20.29) and Lithuania (3:20.41).

Vlad Stanka brought Romania’s first medal at the World Championships in Lima: silver in the 400 m freestyle.
Also, Aissia Claudia Prisecariu (1:02.59 – the fourth time in the semi-finals) and Rebecca Amy Diaconescu (1:02.64 – the fifth performance) reached the final of the 100 m backstroke (the medal match will take place on Thursday, from 03:23).
