David Popovici, Alexandra Constantinescu, Stefan Kozma and Patrick Sebastian Dinu finished the race in 3:19.28, first in the third heat (and overall).
Lithuania (3:21.28) and Italy (3:21.31) were behind the tricolor.
The 4x100m freestyle final will be held on Wednesday at 3:21 (Romanian time).
Issia Prisecariu and Rebecca Diaconescu in the 100m backstroke semi-final at the Junior Swimming Championships
Issia Claudia Prisekariou (1:02.92 – the third time of the series) and Rebecca Eme Diaconescu (1:03.26 – the sixth performance) entered the semi-finals at the distance of 100 m backstroke.
Diaconescu finished second in the 5th heat behind Spain’s Estella Tonrath, who posted a time of 1:03.04.
Prisekariu finished second in the 6th heat, losing to Japan’s Aimee Nagaoka (1:01.74).
The women’s 100m backstroke semi-finals will be held on Wednesday, starting at 03:03.
