What has been speculated for weeks is now official: Novak Djokovic has announced on social media that he will not be playing at the US Open 2022. The Serb was denied entry to the US due to not being vaccinated against Covid-19.
This is the second major tournament (Grand Slam) in which Nole cannot participate in 2022 due to the fact that he was not vaccinated against Covid-19 (he was also not allowed to participate in the Australian Open in January this year).

Over time, Nole won three Grand Slams in New York: in 2011, 2015 and 2018.

US Open 2022 will be held from August 29 to September 11 at the Flashing Meadows complex.
