The International Football Federation (FIFA) has published a world ranking in which Romania, as in the previous ranking, remains in 54th place. Brazil remains the leader, and Belgium and Argentina closed the podium.

With 1,427.84 points, Romania is ranked 54th, effectively the tricolor’s second lowest ranking since the first representative team was ranked 57th in 2012.

However, the “tricolors” remain in the rating better than rivals in the League of Nations group: Bosnia (57), Finland (59) and Montenegro (67).

The next FIFA ranking will be published on October 6, 2022.

Romania have yet to play Finland and Bosnia and Herzegovina in this year’s Nations League

The national team, led by Edi Iordenescu, still has two official games this year as part of the Nations League.

On September 23, Romania will play in Finland (from 9:45 p.m.), and on September 26, in Julesti, they will play against Bosnia and Herzegovina (also from 9:45 p.m.).

Next up are the preliminary matches for EC 2024

The two matches in November will be Romania’s last training games before the start of the EURO 2024 qualifying tournament. The draw for the groups to qualify for the final tournament will take place in Frankfurt on October 9, and the campaign will take place between March and November 2023, in periods dedicated to international matches. reports frf.ro.

The FIFA World Cup in Qatar will be held from November 21 to December 18, 2022. The last final tournament in which Romania participated was in 1998, hosted by France.
