In the quarters, the Romanian and her colleague overcame the German pair Sabina Winter/Nina Mittelham (Germany) with a score of 3-1 (11-9, 11-13, 11-8, 11-7).
In the semi-finals, the pair will meet Deacon and Xiao Bernadette Shox/Sofia Polkanova, so Romania is guaranteed a bronze medal and at least one silver.
The pair also reached the semi-finals Elizabeta Samara/Andrea Dragoman, after overcoming the pair of Han Matelov (Czech Republic)/Barbor Balazov (Slovakia), scored 3-0 (12-10, 11-7, 11-4), the Romanians guaranteed themselves at least a bronze medal, writes News.ro.
