Patrik Muratoglu, who is competing in the first tournament won with Simona Halep, said he was impressed with the contribution of the Romanian fans to the victory at the WTA 1000 competition in Toronto.
Simona Halep beat Brazil’s Beatrice Haddad Maia 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 after two hours and 16 minutes of play.

Thanks to the tour in Toronto, Simona Halep climbed nine positions in the WTA ranking and is in 6th place. At the beginning of the year, the Romanian announced that her goal this year is to return to the WTA top 10.
