Tony Minichiello, the former coach of Olympic track and field champion Jessica Ennis-Hill, has been disqualified for life by the British Federation. The reason is his “inappropriate sexual behavior.”
Minichiello was found guilty of sexual gestures and insinuations towards female athletes, disregard of the female athletes’ right to privacy, inappropriate sexual conduct and inappropriate touching of female athletes under his care, as well as sometimes aggressive behavior and emotional abuse.
A year ago, Minichiello was temporarily suspended after several female athletes filed complaints, News.ro reports.
Jessica Ennis-Hill won the heptathlon at the 2012 London Olympics.
Former coach Tony Minichiello has been banned for life by Great Britain Athletics for sexually inappropriate behaviour.
An independent commission found him guilty of “gross breach of trust.”
