Rezvan Burleanu, the president of the Romanian Football Federation, said on Friday that it had been decided to change the regulations in the case of suspended coaches.
Therefore, the technicians will have to stay during the games with the game delegate so as not to pass information to the players through other people.
“When we have a suspended coach, we want to eliminate as much as possible a violation of the rule that does not allow the coach to communicate with the players during the game.
I have seen many situations that spoil the image of the competition, in constant attempts to circumvent the regulations. The solution found by colleagues from the Federal Coaching School is for the suspended technician to sit next to the match delegate.” declared Bourlean in the House of Football, at the end of the FRF executive committee meeting, Agerpres cites.
The FRF official specified that violation of the new regulatory provisions entails a fine of 50,000 lei.
“If the game delegate has to go down to the edge of the field during the game, the coach stays near the referee observer. The fine for violating these provisions is 50,000 lei. Maintain, as before, the ban on access to the dressing rooms, the field and the bench.” – added Burleanu.
FRF has taken over this model, which has been working in European championships for a long time.
“This is the European model that we adopt. We meet him in all European federations. If there have been no serious deviations at the European level so far, then, I hope, at the national level as well. They always have to adapt the rules because someone is always trying to find a shortcut and break the rules.” – explained the president of the FRF.
Until now, suspended coaches watched games from the stands, and there were cases when they sent instructions to the technical bench via mobile phones used by their relatives.
