Election 2023: “X-ray” of the vote – SYRIZA leaked to all parties

A qualitative analysis of the voting of citizens who came to the polling stations last Sunday showed exit surveysexplains her decisive victory New Republic with over 20 points as he has won all age and all professional groups.

In both sexes, the winner was N.D. Men voted at a rate of 40.6% ND. and 23.3% SYRIZA, while for women, ND received 38.3% versus 27.8% for SYRIZA. PASOK received 11.8% for men and 12.3% for women.

The 12 points lost by SYRIZA, which is a negative figure for the opposition party, has an explanation based on the rallies. The official opposition had big leaks across the board.

TO PASOK 10%, aside KKE 5%, aside Day25 3.3% and to it Kyriakos Velopoulos 3.4%. However, the largest percentage of voters in 2019 moved to the SW. (eleven%).

On the other hand, ND, with a much higher rally that reached 80%, received 11% from SYRIZA and 14% from PASOK, while the interest it received from Kyriakos Velopoulos and 10% from Iannis Varoufakis.

However, it should be noted that in terms of the absolute number of votes, the largest influx of voters is in the ND. this was from SYRIZA, which reached 3% in absolute terms. Finally, PASOK received 10% from SYRIZA, 3.7% from ND. and 3.5% of CNG.

He conquered a new generation

Particularly impressive were the percentages recorded by ND. in the new ages, in which in the previous period there was an assessment that SYRIZA dominates.

In the age group of 17-24 years old, which includes children voting for the first time, N.D. received 32.5%, SYRIZA 22.7% and PASOK 10.5%.

At the age of 25-34 N.D. received 30.5%, SYRIZA 21.2% and PASOK 10.8%. At the age of 35-44 N.D. received 34.1%, SYRIZA 21.8% and PASOK 11.6%, and 45 and older ND. increased its difference even more, since in the age group of 45-54 years she received 45.4% and SYRIZA 17%, and in the age group of 55-64 years N.D. received 42.6% and SYRIZA 18.9%. Finally, at the age of 65 and older, N.D. received 49.8% and SYRIZA 20.7%.

students

For freelancers, ND won by more than 40 points, as it got 54.8% – leading among the unemployed as well.

The results in professional teams are also very interesting, with N.D. dominated everyone except the students, while even the unemployed took first place, meaning that the positive narrative “made it” because it offered more perspective than Mr. Tsipras’s negative narrative.

In particular, the ruling party won 33.7%, compared to 26% for SYRIZA and 9.5% for PASOK. The results among the freelancers were overwhelming, also helped by Katrugalos’ inappropriate statement.

In particular, N.D. won by over 40 points with 54.8% against SYRIZA’s 13.3% and PASOK’s 9.2%. This is the biggest gain compared to 2019 as it gained 10 points more and SYRIZA lost 13 points compared to the previous elections. ND held very high interest rates. and to farmers – livestock breeders and fishermen, as it received 47.5%, in second place is PASOK with 13.5% and in third is SYRIZA with 13%. N.D. it also won against civil servants with a percentage of 35.1% to SYRIZA’s 29.9%, while PASOK received 14%. In the private sector, SYRIZA emerged victorious with 29.1% against ND’s 27.8%, while PASOK gained 12.1%.

Students are the second category in which SYRIZA won with a percentage of 31.7% compared to ND’s 29.5%, while PASOK received 11.1%.

Finally, among housewives and pensioners, N.D. from 44.3% and 46.4%, respectively, against 23% and 25.1% for SYRIZA.

Another very interesting takeaway from the May 21 elections is how citizens voted depending on how they identify themselves politically.

The Centrists gave a clear preference to the prime minister, as he received 40% of the votes, while Nikos Androulakis came in second with 25.1%, beating Alexis Tsipras by a double count of just 12.4% of the Centrists.

It is impressive that N.D. he also won much of the far right, being chosen by 39.9% compared to 6.7% of SYRIZA and only 1.2% of PASOK. In a more specific target group of Cassidiaris voters, Hellenic Solution won the lion’s share with 24.5%, with ND coming in second. which received 18%, Pleussi Eleftherias 8.7%, SYRIZA 5.8% and PASOK 5.4%.

Sociologists answer

The Select Committee of the Association of Polling and Market Research Companies (SEDEA) in a statement presents three reasons that, in its first assessment, are due to discrepancies in pre-election polls, as well as in exit polls. through which he also expresses discomfort from the intense and lengthy interrogation of the investigations. These reasons are: 1) Political events of the last days of the pre-election period. 2) That a large number of voters (19%) chose a party on election day. 3) The hypothesis that SYRIZA voters did not participate in polls due to extensive polling by their party and for this reason were underrepresented in public opinion polls, as well as in exit polls. “Our wish is that from now on the branch will remain undivided in order to carry out its work with the integrity and independence that distinguish members of SEDEA,” it adds.
