Party “Patriotic Union – Prodromos Emfietzoglou” appealed to State Council with a demand to cancel the decision of the Supreme Court, by which the faction was excluded from the elections on May 21.
Prodromos Emfietsoglu characterizes as “unconstitutional” the decision of the plenum of the political department A1, arguing that the exclusion of a party from the electoral process is “a burdensome sanction without the possibility of treatment and its preliminary hearing.”
According to the Supreme Court, the Emfiyetsoglu-Bogdanu party committed “name theft” from the “Patriotic Union – Greek People’s Association” (EL.LA.S.), which filed an appeal against it and misappropriated it to Helios Vergina.
