The result is shocking. Management Tsipras and the political line he chose suffered a crushing defeat. Far-right nationalists did not suddenly intrude into the system. Any “anti-establishment” momentum was concentrated to his left. SYRIZA or rather, the conservative-radical KKE. OUR Kyriakos Mitsotakis And New Democracy they achieved a strategic victory based on a program of technocratic reforms and stability.
The problem that emerges most acutely is the urgent need for a new opposition, the reconstruction of a political alternative that will leave behind the alien and inexorable tactics of the current opposition officer. A historic moment at the international level has restored the value of social protection, solidarity and strong institutions that can deter bad interests, public and private corruption. It is obvious that the great victory of the government, despite the crises and the deterioration of the situation over four years, is mainly due to the choice of SYRIZA, which seemed unreliable both to the Center and to the more radical, leftist audience.
Simple proportionality implies an underlying programmatic seriousness and a political culture of rivalry, not hostility. It seems that the majority did not want to move towards changes, the conditions of which were determined by views on life in a “nightmare” or “hell”. The question is whether the border between the ruling party will be clarified at the next stage of the country center right (which maintains forms of clientelist and worn-out “party-state” connection) and an opposition that cannot coexist with polarization, Antonards, flattering promises to everyone.
PASOK seems to have regained a remarkable momentum. It is necessary to move away from the prescriptions of SYRIZA, without losing attention to the new social problem and the protection of institutions. Reasonably, an era of crises cannot be unambiguously governed by factional and ideological logic alone. On top of that, it seems like the end of the political culture of the memo era, a culture that has been preserved by artificial means and poisonous tricks in the filth of social media.
