The governor made the first statements after the election results. from KKE, Dimitris Koutsoubasstressing that “from tomorrow, the Greek people and youth will face a new wave of attacks.”

At the same time, he welcomed “thousands of workers, thousands of young men and women who today took this step and voted for the KKE, giving it a significant boost.”

Moreover, accused SYRIZA of being “first as a government, and during those four years as an opposition, it has been a key player in the conservatism of the people”.which ultimately fuels New Democracy dominance.”

“On behalf of K.E. KKE, we sincerely salute the thousands of workers, thousands of young men and women who today took this step and voted for the KKE, giving it a significant boost.

We want to congratulate the thousands of members and leaders of the KKE, members and leaders of the KKE who did their best to contribute to the election results.

This result is the fruit of the experience of the working forces, which in all previous years participated in the struggle, in important actions together with the communists.

We especially want to thank those who have joined us in this electoral battle, either as candidates or through their personal multifaceted contributions to the strengthening of the KKE.

New forces along with the old ones, gathered around our party, can today feed a new dynamic on the way of popular counterattack, mass class struggle, total reorganization of the trade union movement, promotion of social union against monopolies, in capital, in capitalism.

The growing political influence of the KKE, especially in the important urban centers of the country, in the working districts of large cities, in areas where the majority of the industrial and general labor force is concentrated, such as in Attica, are encouraging messages that open the way to tomorrow.

The correlation resulting from today’s elections between the bourgeois parties, ND, SYRIZA, PASOK, shows not only the possibility of forming a government that can continue in the same anti-popular direction, but at the same time the consensus and support from the forces that they will be in opposition, in favor of big capital and to the detriment of private and public sector workers, self-employed professionals, scientists, farmers, pensioners, our youth.

What is clear is what the KKE has been pointing out all this time, that despite their individual differences, their confrontations converge in the main strategic directions, in the main directions. And not only this. Basically SYRIZA, first as a government and then during those four years as an opposition, was a key factor in the conservatism of the people, which ultimately contributed to the dominance of the ND. Thus, from tomorrow, the Greek people and youth will face a new wave of attack on the implementation of the new premises of the Recovery Fund memorandum, with a new round of cuts and austerity, with a strict fiscal policy, with the possibility of a new financial crisis, dangerous events on the front of the imperialist war in Ukraine with more active Greek participation, but also with the negative arrangements that the NATO umbrella brings to the Greek-Turkish. They will be implemented by the new anti-people government that will emerge. No support, no tolerance, no compromises in all this anti-popular policy!

The KKE will carry out the only hopeful opposition for our people both inside and outside Parliament, in the midst of the class and popular struggle, for the protection of life, for the protection of incomes, for all the rights of the people and youth.

Thoughts and scenarios of repeat elections, appeals to new polls arise not because a government cannot be formed, but because they want to change the popular vote with predatory dilemmas, capturing both votes and seats in parliament on the basis of a new electoral law. Therefore, in this case, from now on, it is necessary to prepare for an even greater strengthening of the KKE, since their anti-people agenda is more than given. Because the KKE will use this power that the people have given it by voting to promote both in parliament and in the streets the struggle to organize popular resistance, counterattacks on the way to overthrow. The deputies of the KKE will be real supporters of the demands of the people. More voices to protect and promote the interests of the people in parliament and everywhere.
