
Presentation of their program priorities PASOK – Movement for Change will be held at noon on Friday, May 5, by party chairman Nikos Androulakis.

Full speech by Nikos Androulakis:
“Our goal is to ensure a strong, sustainable and Greek development with competitiveness and extroversion, using digital opportunities in all sectors of production and with respect for the environment. Where the benefits will extend to all, and not just to the few and powerful. With a progressive tax system that provides the necessary resources to reduce inequality and fight poverty,” he added. Nikos Androulakis.
“Today we are presenting a total of 12 sections of the priorities of our program,” continued the President of PASOK, clarifying that “we do not give everything to everyone for free, we will not imitate either Zappia or Thessaloniki programs. We are creating a new social alliance for change.”
In particular, the priorities are:
1. State changes
Transparency: all solutions in transparency
· Strengths: No in-state recruitment other than ASEP.
Departisanship of the state and the choice of managers of organizations and hospitals at an international open competition and for a period of 5 years
Strengthening independent authorities
2. Human rights
A society open to all citizens without discrimination or exclusion
Repeal of the provisions of the law on the concealment of wiretapping
3. Work by the rules and with dignity
· The minimum wage is determined after negotiations of the social partners and an immediate defrosting of three years.
Repeal the provisions of the ND Law on working hours, layoffs, SEPE
Rules for new work formats and platforms
· New salary scale for civil servants from 01/01/2024 with an increase covering losses due to inflation and merit pay system
4. Regeneration of the national health system
· Protection of the public character of the National Health Service and repeal of Article 10 of Law 4999/2022.
· Primary health care system with health centers in each municipality.
· Closing of all vacancies by a permanent recruitment
· Increasing wages and including medical workers in the heavy and unhealthy.
· Inclusion of the dimension of disability in all public policies and actions.
· Financing from 8% to 10% of the funds of the Recovery Fund.
5. Investment in education
Establishment of the National Baccalaureate in accordance with European standards
· Extrovert universities associated with production, research funding. Merit in academic development.
Reinforcement learning to eliminate inequality
Enhancement of vocational education
· Strengthening special education for a true school of inclusion.
Safe school environment and psychological and social support services to combat violence
6. Decent pensions.
· Creation of a new ECAS for 350,000 young pensioners.
· Cancellation of personal differences of the SYRIZA/ND laws on pensions from 01/01/2024.

7. Second Chance for Weak Borrowers
· Restoring first residence protection by updating the PASOK Act of 2010.
· Rules for working with funds.
Payment of debts to tax authorities and insurance funds in 120 installments, with a 30% haircut for consecutive
· Settlements for borrowers in Swiss francs with a fair distribution of foreign exchange risks
· Lower payments and fixed interest rate for regular borrowers
· Protection of agricultural lands.
8. Youth at the forefront
Subsidizing employer contributions to hire young people full-time
· Support for new mothers – No children outside the nursery.
Strengthening the maternity allowance for self-employed mothers
· Tax incentives for young entrepreneurs and professionals.
· Creation of a pool of 150,000 houses that will be available to young people at low rents.
Construction of new high-quality student dormitories
9. Fair progressive tax system
· Reducing labor taxes.
· Reduced VAT on basic foodstuffs and personal hygiene items.
Extraordinary taxation of excess profits of banks and large businesses, in monopoly sectors of the economy
10. Development “Made in Greece”
· National Strategic Development Plan, with a reprioritization of the Recovery Fund to support domestic production
· Regional development and the relationship of tourism with all sectors of the economy and especially with the agro-food sector.
· Incentives for SMEs that promote collaborations and networks, as well as dedicated funding lines for innovative digital investments.
· Strengthening the defense industry with co-production clauses.
11. Environment
· Investments in networks – access of all citizens to the production of RES with the development of energy communities
· Fair transition for lignite sites.
· Strengthening civil protection with modern means and updated prevention plans.
· Strengthening ecosystem management
12. Support for farmers
· Reducing the cost of production by subsidizing agricultural supplies, electricity costs and transporting products.
· Establishment of non-waste and tax-free nature of subsidies, compensations and subsidies for farmers.
· An update to the ELGA Insurance Regulations to cover disasters caused by climate change.
