PROBLEM

The expansion of the ND lead on SYRIZA is reflected in the monthly barometer of the sociological company Prorata (on behalf of the Attica TV channel). Leader N.D. reaches 4 percentage points (31.5% versus 27.5%), while in the previous one it was only 2.5 (28.5% versus 26%). PASOK remains at 9.5% while KKE (6% from 5%) and MeRA25 (3.5% from 3%) are increasing. In contrast, the Greek solution loses half a point (3% from 3.5%). Undecided votes reach 10.5%. In the event that no government appears in the elections on May 21, and they come second, the poll shows an advantage of ND by 5 points. on SYRIZA (34.5% vs. 29.5%).

DILEMMA

Who best represents the centre-left? PASOK is trying to repatriate part of the electorate, which has largely moved to SYRIZA, as well as to ND. It seems that for those who moved to the N.W. it is difficult for them to return, so efforts are concentrated to the left. It’s hard too. Organized by PASOK and collaborating networks of the Renewed Left and the Citizen Movement for Social Democracy, which will take place tomorrow afternoon in the ESIEA Events Hall with the theme “Election 2023: Centre-Left Hour”, the event can be perceived in this way.” Speakers are PASOK secretaries Andreas Spyropoulos, Theodoros Margaritis of the Renewal Left and Michalis Chalaris of the Civil Movement for Social Democracy, as well as two professors resurrecting PASOK, former minister Giannis Panousis and former MEP Kostas Chrysogonos, two people. who during their tenure in SYRIZA did not feel too well.

PERSONS

Thanos Tsimeros (left) and Faylos Kranidiotis (right). Former associates of Konstantinos Bogdanos whom they abandoned. Dioscuri of national creativity. Or again: those who follow the events in the far-right apartment building rub their hands with satisfaction. And it could not be otherwise, since the events of the last 24 hours in the extra-parliamentary spheres of the ultra-right are favorable for their own formation. The Emfetsoglu-Bogdanu party was excluded, as was the rival formation of Latinopoulos-Vatidou. In addition, all these parties are not only chasing votes similar to those that end up in the parliamentary representative of the far right, Hellenic Solution. For example, unlike the Greek Solution, the National Creation did not take a pro-Russian stance in the Ukrainian language. If, however, we take into account the results of measurements of recent months, then the ultra-right is estimated at about 10-15% of the electorate, so the competition is predicted to be fierce. In fact, given that this is an area bordering the ND, changes in that electorate spectrum will also be critical to governability.

PLACE

Vein. Others campaign in the suburbs. And others in Central Europe. Even now, not 20 days before the elections, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias continues to “write off miles”, as this time he met with his dear friend and Austrian colleague Alexander Sulenberg. Mr. Dendias returned the same day and even brought news, as Mr. Sulenberg promised that Vienna would discuss with Athens the return of the two fragments of the Parthenon. He also visited the International Atomic Energy Agency, where he discussed with President Rafael Mariano Grossi Athens’ concerns not only about the construction of nuclear power plants in an earthquake-prone area (see Akoya), but also about the Zaporozhye plant in Ukraine. . Many expatriate Greeks from Mariupol also found refuge there.

ATTACK

You are a “new-combed Syrian”, accused the candidate with N.D. Thassos Gaitanis, former MP and government representative for his party and current SYRIZA candidate Evangelos Antonaros. “I would be ashamed to sit next to the fools in the ND, Adonis, Voridis and Pleuris,” Mr. Antonaros, among many others, objected in a familiar tone. There were other nice things said in the brawl at the classic level befitting a TV window, but column space is by definition limited and I can’t go into details. One way or another, the deed was done, everyone left satisfied, because they supposedly “beat” each other. Life goes on.
