Hatzidakis vs. Tsipras: “Insane impudence to ask for a change in expected pensions”

“That Mr. Tsipras has bottomless audacity, we already knew that! That he went so far as to point the finger at the government for eminent pensionsalso demanding a change, but at least comical,” says the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakisin a statement.

“With a monstrous lie,” he points out, “he was trying to hide the fact that he himself gave us 1,059,000 outstanding insurance claims in EFKA! He is trying not only to ignore, but to pretend that the problem has allegedly worsened when, among other things, arrears to pensioners from 487 million euros in the summer of 2019 decreased to only 3 million euros in March 2023!

“Only one word fits: shame!” notes Mr. Hatzidakis.
