Elections: KKE, MeRA25 cancel SYRIZA narrative for “government of tolerance”

Insists Delphi Forum o Alexis Tsipras in the tolerance government scenario, emphasizing that if I win SYRIZA in the first elections on May 21, cooperation with the numerically insufficient PASOKthen his tolerance will be requested KKE and his Day25. The double “invitation” of Alexis Tsipras was rejected by both. Dimitris Koutsoubas and Janis Varoufakis.

Insisting on not voting

Alexis Tsipras tried to clarify the situation for the government of tolerance, since a few days ago it entered the “electoral vocabulary” and is being negatively used, like the Dimitra program, by political opponents of SYRIZA. From Delphi Forum he stressed that the alternative for the country is the establishment of a government of progressive cooperation between Komunduru – if it comes first in the elections – and Harilau Trikoupi. He calculated that “you can get beans”, but added that if an absolute majority is not reached, he will turn to smaller parties on the left. Speaking about the KKE and MeRA25, for which he was not sure what would be in Parliament, he concluded: “If 5-10 deputies are not enough to get the majority we need to move forward with the program convergence plan, they will have to take responsibility if they support this government or if they pave the way for Mr. Mitsotakis with re-elections and adventures for the country to come back and continue everything he has done in the last four years. “.

By “support” Alexis Tsipras means the tolerance that will be required of the two parties for their non-participation in the confidence vote process in Parliament, so that the necessary majority will be achieved. Listening to all the latest reports from Nikos Androulakis, who rules out a joint government with MeRA25, the former prime minister has been looking for new opportunities for PASOK, significantly reducing the “living space” he has given the former finance minister.

“If 5-10 deputies are not enough for us to have a majority, they will have to take responsibility,” President SYRIZA said of Koutsoubas and Varoufakis.

Tomorrow, at a special event, Alexis Tsipras will present the program of his party. In this environment, and with the uproar caused by Janis Varoufakis’ discussion of bank closures, the leader of the official opposition decided to send a clear message to the MeRA25 secretary to calm the noise created. Regarding banks, he stated that “he is raising a question that is not about Greek society, not about reality, but about his own obsessions.” Also in the room using the image was Giorgos Chouliarakis, who in 2015 represented a different school of thought and worked in the Treasury after Mr. Varoufakis left.

Meeting with De Guidos

The former Prime Minister’s meeting in Delphi with ECB Vice President Luis de Guidos, which discussed the outlook for the Greek economy, interest rates and eurozone inflation in a positive atmosphere, was also a good moment for the former Prime Minister to try to close the unattractive debate about SYRIZA that lead her away from the golden mean to which she aspires. On the eve of the election, seeing the “damage” that would be done and trying to evoke the memories that spawned the anti-SYRIZA front, Alexis Tsipras decided to refer to the period when Mr. Varoufakis was finance minister. “These positions and views on the currency cannot be discussed, even discussed. And I must tell you that they were not discussed even during the difficult days of 2015, and this is one of the main reasons for the departure of Mr. Varoufakis from SYRIZA,” he said.

Double “no” from KKE and MeRA25

George Burdaras

The resolute double “no” both for participating in a joint government and for tolerating a minority parliamentary government led by SYRIZA was yesterday a response to Mr Al’s appropriate invitations. Tsipras from two addressees on the left, Dim. Koutsoubas and G. Varoufakis.

“We are not going to support, enter, tolerate any anti-people government,” Mr. Koutsumba replied to Kumundur’s proposal.

c.g. K.E. a spokesman for the KKE in a television interview (ERT) initially questioned the progressive nature of the government’s SYRIZA scheme, citing both Mr. Tsipras’ tenure as prime minister (“it was the worst government to present the worst memorandum of all time”), and oppositional attitude to the government of N.D. (“Mr. Tsipras was not essentially an opposition. He was essentially a co-ruler. He voted for 50% of the bills.”) Responding, in particular, to a question about the position of the President of SYRIZA regarding the vote for tolerance, Mr. Koutsoubas said characteristically: “We call on the Greek people, looking into their eyes, to vote for us and that the voting criterion should also be our position, which we we are not going to support, join, show tolerance for any such anti-popular government, no matter how it is called, whether it is called progressive, whether it is called democratic, whether it is allegedly called for a special purpose, and so on.

Accordingly, Mr. Varoufakis, in his radio interview (Program One), in response to the question of whether he could vote for tolerance of Mr. Tsipras, stressed: “A huge no. There is no tolerance. There is a Constitution, laws and parliamentary procedure. After the elections, parliament is convened, the government comes and asks for a vote of confidence. There is no “real”. It’s in the accounts. When you have a voice, there is yes or no. The only way to show tolerance is not to approach. We will go to parliament and vote against any government that is presented to us.” And he added: “Mr. Tsipras stepped back and said: well, bear with us. Oh no, we won’t tolerate you. No trust, no tolerance.”
