
Seven more people, Greeks and members of their families, were released from Sudan and arrived by road in Egypt, where they were received by an employee of the Greek Embassy in Cairo, the Foreign Ministry said.
Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias expressed his warm gratitude to his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Sukri, for the assistance provided by his country in efforts to free Greeks and their families from Sudan.
The process and actions to release our compatriots and their families from Sudan continue in close coordination with our EU partners and allies, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
