Sudan: Foreign Ministry statement to release 10 more people

Ten more people, Greeks and their families, were released from Sudan and arrived today on German aircraft flights to Amman, Jordan, the Foreign Ministry said.

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias expressed sincere gratitude to his German counterpart, Analena Berbock, for the assistance her country is providing in efforts to free Greeks and their families from Sudan.

The process and actions to release our compatriots and their families from Sudan continue in close coordination with our partners in the EU and our allies, the Foreign Ministry concludes in its respective statement.

Recall that earlier this evening it was also announced the release of seven more Greeks from Sudan who arrived by road in Egypt, where they were met by an employee of the Greek Embassy in Cairo.
