PASOK-KINAL President, Nikos Androulakisin her statement on her anniversary Armenian Genocideemphasized the obligation to preserve historical memory so that such events would not be repeated.
Mr. Androulakis, in particular, stated:
“108 years ago the Armenian Genocide began. In the crumbling Ottoman Empire, Greeks, Armenians, and Assyrians fell victim to systematic attempts to exterminate the Christian population. Today’s anniversary reminds us of our eternal duty to fight for the preservation of historical memory, international recognition and condemnation in order to prevent the repetition of such crimes against humanity.”
