Democratic Forum for Progress and Dialogue: “Common concern about developments”

“Yes” without any pre-election targeting Nikos Kotzias, together with the political formations of Democracy, the Left and Ecology, as well as many figures of SYRIZA, set about creating the “Democratic Forum of Progress and Dialogue”. At the press conference held yesterday at ESIEA, Nikos Leandros (Pratto), Dimitris Pipergias (Socialist Patriotic Movement), Trasos Foteinos (Green Left – MAZI) and Nassos Athanasiou (MP SYRIZA) delivered their greetings.

In total, 10 organizations participate in the forum, and its expansion is planned to be completed after the elections. In the presentation, Pratto Communications Manager Kostas Drakopoulos noted that this work was launched “in order to provide positive and progressive answers to the questions of our time, to the accumulated problems and to meet the needs of the many.” As was emphasized, the country needs, along with radical action, the development of a constructive dialogue of forces that are worried about the future of the country, the people, and the natural environment. The “Dialogue Forum” is open to all who wish to exchange views and enrich their views, and its purpose is to unite and mobilize all progressive forces. “We are united by a common concern for both international and Greek development,” stressed Panteion Professor Nikos Leandros.

As noted by the speakers and mentioned in the founding declaration, Greece is on the path of decline, and more and more signs of decline appear in politics, economy and society. The orientation, the coherence, the necessary stability, which must be combined with a bold openness to the new and the radical, is lost. The presentation was attended by the former Minister of Civil Protection Nikos Toskas, who also signed the founding declaration of the Forum.
