Theory: Thasoulas and John Theotokis

With the usual color that he always gives, the current term of Kostas Tassoulas as President of the Parliament has ended. Mr. Kaminis, who was present at the meeting the day before yesterday, glorified Tasula’s tenure, saying that he honored this position, as did his predecessors Athanasios Tsaldaris, Ioannis Alevras and Apostolos Kaklamanis, and Mr. Tasula also recalled … John Theotokis, member of a prominent family and prominent member of the People’s Party, who served as President of the Greek Parliament from 1946 to 1949. As far as Tasula’s tenure statistics are concerned, I cite two of the most interesting: the number of legislative proceedings and a 50% decrease in amendments, which are often associated with tricks or bribes.

Problem for Pahaturidis

With a clumsy “statement” after SYRIZA backed him up, Andreas Pachaturidis declared that he only belonged to…Peristeriotes and…Peristeri, evading a position regarding the decision of the official opposition. The reason he undertook this maneuver is because many citizens, as well as his officials close to the ND, were taken aback by SYRIZA’s statement and wondered if the mayor had some kind of underground agreement with Alexis Tsipras. The government has not officially commented on the matter, but Miltiadis Varvitsiotis said at a company in the western suburbs that he welcomes the logic of SYRIZA, which he discovered after… 25 years, that the right-wing Pahaturidis is a good mayor.

In the Dodecanese

SYRIZA ballots have not been closed in many areas, as evidenced by recent announcements. Among the “unresolved issues” are the regions where Alexis Tsipras will run. It is very likely that he will choose the Dodecanese, which will also have a symbolic meaning after the loss of a favorite and friend of President Nektarios Santorini.

Meetings

The two institutional changes provided for by the Constitution in connection with the elections will take place on 24 April. I am referring to the Acting Minister of the Interior and the resignation of government representative Yiannis Oikonomou, who will demand a cross in Phthiotis and give up his position to Akis Skertsos. The Minister of State has been preparing feverishly lately and is in constant meetings with the other pole of communication, Pavlos Marinakis. The first plan is that Schertzos will be in government positions, and Marinakis will be in the most party positions.
