Health Minister Thanos Pluris called reports of organ trafficking at the trial of Roulas Pispirigo by her lawyer provocative and false.
Speaking to SKAI 100.3, Mr. Pluris reiterated – as he did after the meeting he had yesterday, Thursday with Andreas Iliadis – that doctors covered by the law will be legally supported and paid.
The image of hospitals is not good
The Minister of Health acknowledged that the image of hospitals is not very good, and pointed to the lack of anesthesiologists of specific specialties, as well as nursing staff, and in emergency cases the problem is also great.
He said job advertisements for doctors often prove fruitless due to reluctance.
He explained that for this reason, the ministry intervened by increasing the salaries of doctors by 10%, while giving an additional 1,800 euros in salaries to those who move to the islands. Finally, he stated that the complete reconstruction of the thermal power plant will be carried out at the expense of the Recovery Fund.
