These voters are expected to elect between 2 and 4 state legislators, depending on the percentage of parties in the elections.

OUR Prime Minister announced yesterday that national elections would be held on May 21. According to the relevant circular, in order to be registered on special electoral lists for the possibility of remote voting in national elections, a voter’s application must be submitted at least 12 days before the announcement of elections. Those who apply less than 12 days in advance will not be eligible to vote at their place of residence in the upcoming elections. As long as they meet the relevant conditions, they will have this opportunity from the next election.

The official announcement is expected to take place after April 11, as the bill is due to be passed that day, so there may be a small “last minute” margin. It is recalled that in order to be registered on the respective lists, voters outside the territory (who are permanently or temporarily outside Greece) must have resided in Greece for a total of two years in the last 35 years and have the opportunity to somehow prove it. They must also have filed a tax return (E1 or E2 or E3 or E9), even if it is zero, during the current or previous tax year. The tax return requirement does not apply to those under the age of 30 who have first-degree relatives who have filed a tax return.
