Elections: why Mitsotakis chose May 21

In “Maxim” two dates were circled elections: 21stV and 28thV Maybe.

The proposals between them were strong at all the last meetings in Maximos, and the prime minister finally made the decision.V Maybe for two reasons:

First is that Greece has international obligations on July 10-11, when the NATO summit will be held in Vilnius (Lithuania).

This means that if the elections were held on May 28 and the repeat elections on May 9, then the country could not be represented by a new prime minister. Unlike the rerun elections on July 2, a week later the new prime minister will be able to attend normally.

Another reason nationwide, which will start on June 2. The government wants to protect them like the apple of its eye, so that the elections are not close, so that students and their families are an integral part of this important struggle.

It is worth noting that with a possible re-announcement of the second election, the acting minister will have to take over.
