Government: New Agenda Movements

His statements yesterday Kyriakou Mitsotakis for the minimum wage is the government’s first attempt to return to normal after Tempe tragedy. The prime minister, with careful wording that shows the underlying philosophy to be followed before the election, said the new raise “obviously doesn’t solve the problem” but certainly “offers a very important relief.” It is this logic that will exist horizontally throughout the entire pre-election period: “We do our best, correct pathologies and look forward” – the motto that the government will have, as notes a source in the government “K”.

Visit

Today, Mr. Mitsotakis’ first “tour” since Tempi, which will include a visit to a cafe in Amarousios, is part of this effort to return to normal life. The tone was quiet: the invitation stated that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Education Minister Niki Kerameos “will be at Kastalia Cafe to exchange views and thoughts with citizens.” Despite the mild wording, it is clear that this is, at least unofficially, a resumption of the campaign. With regard to the tragic Tempe accident, over time the government wants the question of responsibility to become even clearer, for which Mr Mitsotakis announced that the investigation would be completed. Yesterday Mr. Schertzspeaking to SKAI, spoke of a “national case” and reiterated that “we took the burden of responsibility for the accident, there are our specific responsibilities, but also the burden of the decision to prevent it from happening again and get modern railways.”

It has not gone unnoticed that some high-ranking officials avoid joining the “battle” after the tragedy.

At the same time, the ministers asked how, after the tragedy in Tempe and despite the calls of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, for the last time ministerialtop managers did not publicly go out to fight, although over time they have more and more arguments, for example, that a remote control system worked in Larisa.

Yesterday Adonis Georgiades publicly “nailed” his colleagues, saying: “It is very useful in a faction to have ministers with great popularity. Why is it useful? Because at a critical moment, when something can go wrong, at a difficult moment, these ministers come out and contribute some of their political capital to help the team. government and prime minister. If at a critical moment – I’m talking about teams in general – popular faces disappear and carry chestnuts out of the fire themselves, it may be useless for the team and they may not earn popularity.

The Development Minister added that “the leader of the team is Kyriakos Mitsotakis and people should know that their choice to make a difference is Mitsotakis.” A little later, Mr. Schertzos indirectly but clearly confirmed Adonis Georgiadis, however, asking him to stop introversion.

In particular, the Minister of State stated that “as a matter of principle, I believe that we should enter politics with capital ‘X’ and leave with capital ‘X minus’. And in the economic sense, but also in the preservation of political capital in difficult times – and in this Mr. Georgiadis is right”, and added that “when someone enjoys authority in front of public opinion, he must come out and honestly explain that he happened “.
