Mr. Androulakis was informed about the incident by representatives of the fire department and told reporters:

“My deepest condolences to the families of the victims who died so unjustly, and I wish a speedy recovery to the victims.

Our country is going through an indescribable tragedy and we all have a huge “why” in our minds. Why, in the presence of technical capabilities now and for many years, so many lives should hang from the hands of a person?

Immediately afterwards, Mr. Androulakis left for Larissa General Hospital.

The President of PASOK-Movement for Change was accompanied by Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party Andreas Spyropoulos, Secretary of the Parliamentary Group of the Gospel Liakoulis and Responsible for Infrastructure and Transport Sector Christos Gogas.
