K. Mitsotakis: When you lie down, you sleep

With a laconic but especially caustic account, the Prime Minister, during his visit to Menidi yesterday, spoke about what has been happening in the last few days inside SYRIZA with Pavlos Polakis. “I will only say one thing about the nonsense that has been going on in SYRIZA in recent days: the way you lie down, the way you sleep,” he said. Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

For Megaros Maximos, the problem is not the exclusion of Pavlos Polakis from SYRIZA, but rather the “polarization” mentality, which government sources say is “infiltrating the official opposition.” Mr. Mitsotakis also mentioned this yesterday, continuing his reasoning: “Let them decide their internal affairs, let them think about who are those who reduced the “polarization” to the central line of the party. And from now on, let’s do our job, continue to talk about the future, avoid toxicity, treat with respect and understanding, “and I ask all our leaders to do this,” despite the real problems of society, “he concluded.

Municipality of Acharna, where N.D. was the second batch, the prime minister visited.

“A fair deal”

With this phrase, Mr. Mitsotakis sealed the government’s intentions. N.D. in the last stretch of the election, expected to be announced next week, the official opposition will enter the inner-party whirlpool and hold the lead in the opinion polls itself. “So, we will go to the upcoming elections with thoughts about the future. We will fully abide by the truth agreement we signed together. We are not interested in what our political opponents are doing,” the prime minister said elsewhere in his statement. Maximos firmly believed that the gulf between the two sides could widen further as “the feeling that SYRIZA cannot provide solutions to the underlying problems is reinforced.”

The presence of the prime minister in the municipality of Aharna shortly before the elections was not accidental. It is a municipality with very popular and special characteristics, which were reflected in the 2019 elections, where SYRIZA came first with a percentage of 37.48%, that is, much higher than the national average, and N.D. it received 29.04%, well below the national average. At the same time, Kyriakos Velopoulos received 9.55%. It is clear that this is a “difficult” municipality, hence the prime minister, after analyzing what the ND government has done. about Acharnes, he said that “for us there are no forgotten quarters in Attica” and added that “we always stand next to the weakest”. In this context, he again touched on the dilemma of the upcoming elections, focusing, as always, on the comparison of the two parties: “So let’s compare. Who told you that he would cut taxes and cut them? New Republic. Who told you that this would create more jobs and created them? New Republic. Who told you that he would guard the border and did he guard it? New Democracy,” he concluded.
