Emergency assistance in the amount of 200 to 300 euros, depending on the size of their pensions, will be received by pensioners who didn’t see a raise due to “personal differences,” the prime minister said Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
“Emergency assistance will be provided to pensioners who have not had their pensions increased since 01.01.23,” the Prime Minister said, answering a relevant question during press conference in regional media in Kozani. “It will be from 200 to 300 euros, depending on the size of the pension each person receives,” he added.
The prime minister said details would be provided tomorrow, Wednesday, by the financial staff. As he clarified, this is a one-time assistance. The Prime Minister noted that the total amount of emergency assistance is estimated at around 300 million euros, noting that the economy is growing better than expected and there is now a clearer picture of budget execution.
Throwing arrows at SYRIZA, he accused him of “cutting pensions” and noted that “personal differences” were a product of the “law of Katrugalos.” According to him, there are pensioners with low pensions who have not had an increase since January 1, and who will be provided with emergency assistance.
