
Shortly after confirming the sad news of the death of the squadron commander Efstathios Tsitlakides and the captain of the Phantom which was wrecked in the sea area off Andravida, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed his pain through a post on his Facebook account, in which, among other things, he noted that “his idea of a family of flying squadrons“.

“The news of the death of Commander Efstathios Tsitlakides and then Deputy Commander Marios-Mikhail Turoutsikas further exacerbates the national grief. Our fighter pilot died along with his co-pilot in the line of duty, serving the country. My thoughts are with the flying squadron family. The Air Force and all of Greece are mourning. They mourn and honor” Ex.Hello Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
