Tsipras in ADAE – Meeting with Rammos

its president Message Privacy Authority (ADAE), Christos Rammosleader of the official opposition visits, Alexis Tsipras.

The meeting, which will take place at the office of the Independent Entity, is scheduled for 10:30.

Recall that last week a new cycle of confrontation between the government and the official opposition began over Rammos’s request to convene the Committee on Institutions.

Committee Chairman At. Buras said on Thursday that Mr. Rammos did not indicate in his written request the issues on which he asked the ND deputies to be informed. It should be noted that the head of ADAE does not have the institutional right to demand the convening of a committee to which he is accountable. At the same time, Mr. Buras reiterated that the opposition could, upon request, request that Mr. Rammos be summoned to a meeting that, according to the Rules of Procedure of Parliament, could take place next month.

“I consider today a sad day both for the committee and for parliamentarism in our country. But we will not become complicit in a constitutional rejection in an attempt to abolish our committee,” Mr. Katrugalos said and announced the withdrawal of the SYRIZA deputies from the assembly. On behalf of the KKE, Mr Sintihakis spoke of the “unacceptable behavior” and the “really upsetting performance of the representatives of SYRIZA”, while critical comments about SYRIZA were also made by PASOK and the Greek Solution, parties that, after the end of the meeting, were also criticized by the majority for not accepting Mr. Rammos’ request.

In an attempt to increase pressure, Mr. Tsipras, who contacted Parliament Speaker Kohn. Tasoula and asked him to immediately respond to the request of the President of ADAE, in his statements he, like other members of his party, spoke of “sabotage”. A little later, Mr. Tasulas, in response to a question from the parliamentary editorial staff, noted that “there are no uninvited guests. The committee convenes, no one nominates himself. It’s not weirdness or stubbornness, it’s an institutional process.” Also, government spokesman Mr. Economou spoke of Mr. Tsipras’ “oppositional mentality” and added: “Democratic subversion is an attempt to circumvent the institutions and the Rules of Parliament.” At the same time, N.D. in her statement, she refers to the “dark games of SYRIZA”.

In his last letter on Friday, Mr. Rammos said he intends to update committee members on the results of the audits “recently conducted by ADAE.”
