Mitsotakis’ message to Ankara: Every yurushi can become a haven for unrest

The Prime Minister said that with the new Rafale fighters and the upgrade of the F-16 and F-35 squadron, the Greek skies are protected like never before, while our neighbors have been definitively excluded from fifth generation fighters. Kyriakos Mitsotakisvisited Tanagra for the ceremony to receive the fifth F-16 Viper fighter.

The Prime Minister spoke about the change in image that was reflected in the aviation industry, when EAB, as he emphasized, left the adventures of the past in the past.

“In the field of open threats, we respond with resolute readiness to any loud aggression,” he noted and continued: “Those who are delusional that they can come at night, suddenly know that they can wake up at night and land in harsh reality.”

“The more they raise their voice, the more they actually lower their credibility. And each of their “juries” can become a disorderly retreat before the triangle of international law, our prosperous Armed Forces and our strong alliances,” he noted, while repeating that “our country does not enter into a dialogue with the absurd.”

He emphasized that “two milestone events are being written today” and added: “The fifth upgraded Viper F-16 is ready to fly from here to Crete to enter service. And the ODA Technical Center is acquiring two important facilities as part of Lockheed Martin’s longstanding partnership with ODA.”

Referring to the ODA’s partnership with Lockheed Martin, he said, “We are all proud of them” as they “reaffirm the consistency in the Air Force improvement program.” According to him, “the pinnacle of the ODA is the F-16 upgrade, as well as the completion of the P3 Orion program and the maintenance of the C 130 and our firefighting aircraft.”

He did not forget to mention the cooperation of Greek universities with the ODA to develop drone manufacturing programs such as Architas and Gripas. EAB, the prime minister added, “with 700 new employees, now has 2,000 highly qualified employees and a new collective bargaining agreement.” He also stated that “the process of finding a strategic investor starts with a share of up to 49%”, while stressing that “the majority of EAB will always remain with the Greek government.”

Earlier, addressing the people of Avlona, the Prime Minister said that “we are putting into practice our commitment to our homeland to be a strong and secure, self-confident Greece that can look to the future with optimism.”

The prime minister focused on Rafale deliveries, stressing that 10 French aircraft are already flying on Greek air, briefly mentioned the work of the government and harshly criticized the official opposition, referring to “Mr. Tsipras’s work with pensioners when he says he will correct an injustice the law of Katrugalos, for which he voted.”

The Prime Minister touched upon the stakes in the elections. “The question is simple: which faction and which prime minister should keep at the helm of the country in the critical times ahead of us?” This is a question that the citizens of Greece must answer,” he stressed.
