The decision came after his colleagues in the Council of the Political Science Faculty of the University of Bucharest asked him to leave his post at CNATDCU.

“I was asked to resign from the CNADTCU commission because of the Bode situation. I’ve been saying for a long time that I want to resign, but not for this reason, because I’m fast asleep after this Bode thing. Yes, I am very sorry that I have to pay more attention to some quotes and notice them, put them in the report, but I sleep peacefully knowing that I have fulfilled my duties that I had. I am very sorry, but it is not a big fault. And all members of the commission are sleeping peacefully, because we did what we had to (…)

Others cannot sleep peacefully. (…) the responsibility for the awarding of this title belongs to Ms. Andronescu who signed this title, the commission from the CNATDCU ministry that recommended, the commission that had all the elements at its disposal, that is the responsibility, UBB does not award titles, it only recommends,” Radu Karp told HotNews.ro.

Karp wanted to clarify that the main reason he is resigning is that “there will be a lot of pressure on the CNATDCU and he does not want to be ‘interpreted in any way'”. I do not want to create comments and discussions about the fact that there will be an attempt to stop the action in the CNADTCU commission (…)

My departure from CNATDCU is because the institution is not working well, there is no legal framework to protect us as members, and in the face of what is to come or in the face of new allegations, we have no defense,” Karp stressed. .

In addition, the professor explains that the committee members did not have a “similarity report” at their disposal.

“We didn’t have a handbook for writing articles because it didn’t exist in a way that the committee couldn’t check all the bibliographic references or reference how to cite because there wasn’t a standard that was available. The only thing that was available was the statement of the academic supervisor, who clearly said that the percentage was lower than the percentage accepted at Babes Boyai University, which is below 30%,” the professor explained.

Radu Karp is one of the university professors who praised Lucian Bode’s thesis, writes edupedu.ro.
