Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited Kavala and Xanthi today as part of his two-day visit to present the development plan for Eastern Macedonia and Thrace until 2030.

“I have come to present my vision for the development of Thrace, a crossroads of cultures, a dynamic, developing Thrace that creates new jobs and advancement opportunities for you, your children and grandchildren,” said Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, addressing the citizens of Xanthi. who gathered in the central square of the city to greet him.

The Prime Minister expressed his joy at starting the tour from Xanthi, a city he especially loves, and recalled that in 2002 he visited it with his father, Konstantinos Mitsotakis, who, according to him, was a “politician who identified his route with Thrace”. .

Speaking about the path to parliamentary elections, the prime minister said he felt satisfied because “despite the very great difficulties that we have faced as a country, I can look you in the eyes and say that we have done what we promised” .

Regarding the visit of Mr. Mitsotakis to Kavala, the first stop was the traditional local sweet shop in Nea Karvali. After that, he visited the company “Egnatia Aviation” at the old airport of Amygdaleon Kavala. Kyriakos Mitsotakis gave a tour of the airport’s facilities and had the opportunity to speak with instructors and students from the civil aviation pilot training school established by Egnatia Aviation.

“The state should be at the service of the citizen and the businessman.
