President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou visited Lemnos for the celebration of the Epiphany.
Ms. Sakellaropoulou said after the water blessing ceremony that “Today brings the news of the victory of light over darkness. The light with which modern man seeks to fill his heart with hope, especially in difficult times. Celebrating the Epiphany on the island stronghold of Hellenism in the Aegean Sea, on the untouched Lemnos, I wish everyone a happy birthday and good enlightenment.
Then the President of the Republic visited the permanent exposition of the history of children’s toys and books – the Christos Boulotis Collection and met in the courtyard of the museum with a delegation of students from Mudros Secondary School.
Concluding her visit to the island, Ms. Sakellaropoulou will travel to the 130th Combat Command to exchange greetings with the readiness headquarters.
