According to the Italian newspaper Il Giornale, a Bergamo court has blocked six bank accounts belonging to Antonio Panzeri and his daughter Silvia, Francesco Giorgi, and the president of the International Federation of Trade Unions, Luca Visentini.
The request to “freeze” the accounts came from the Brussels prosecutor’s office and, according to information, Panzeri and his daughter have a total of 240,000 euros in their accounts.
Visentini said he was not informed of the blocking of his account and that he remains “surprised” as he repays the “mortgage loan” from this account solely from his salary.
Meanwhile, Eva Kylie’s lawyer Michalis Dimitrakopoulos, who entered the Aren prison yesterday to visit her, said that “she lives in distress.”
“Ms Kylie is in prison all alone, unfortunately her 22-month-old baby is also alone,” continued the legal representative of the European Parliament.
“Today is Christmas, there is no one around her, Eva Kylie feels like she is going through a disaster, please respect that,” Mr. Dimitrakopoulos concluded.
The prominent lawyer clarified that the MEP did not appeal against the decision to extend her pre-trial detention for a month “for legal reasons” and confirmed that a new request for parole would be filed, which would be considered after her pre-trial detention expires.
Ms. Kylie was visited yesterday at the prison where her father is being held.
