Accelerating dialogue based on the existing political agreement in Tirana in order to reach a compromise that would allow the presentation of a co-promissory note to the International Court of Justice in The Hague on the issue of delimiting the EEZ and the continental shelf, was the focus of the meeting held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias with Albanian Foreign Minister Olta Jachka during his visit to Tirana, as he mentioned in his statements afterwards.
“The solution of this issue, the resolution of the war and two other agreements, agreements on the prevention of border incidents and on the maintenance of border pyramids, will serve as a signal to the international community that international law and international law of the sea is the basis for resolving all international disputes,” Mr. n Dendias.
At the end of my visit to Tirana, I attended a dinner hosted in my honor by Albanian Foreign Minister Edi Rama. Bilateral relations, a European perspective 🇦🇱 and regional developments are at the center of discussion. pic.twitter.com/RpxFZjqhst

“I think that, being an important approach, it will open a new, big chapter in our wonderful, mutual, common relations,” he said and added:
“This message is very timely. Because, unfortunately, revisionism and disregard for international law have appeared in different parts of the world, although we live in the 21st century. And the most obvious is Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.”
He noted that Greece has always been an ardent supporter of the European perspective of Albania and all the Western Balkans, “of course, in the context of fair sectarianism, strict but fair.”
“I would like to confirm from here, from Tirana, the absolute readiness of my country to provide Albania with any assistance in accession in any area that you deem useful,” he stressed.
“We believe that this road is actually a one-way street. and it is of great importance in today’s situation, when revisionist forces have appeared that want us to return to other times, to other eras, to other ideas, ”he emphasized characteristically.
“And these revisionist forces are trying to approach the Western Balkans with the ultimate goal, I’m afraid, not of cooperation, but of creating zones of influence that are inconsistent neither with European legislation, nor with a European perspective, nor with a European value.”
