
Mircea Duša, a former defense minister in Ponta’s government, died on Monday, PSD Hargita said. He was 67 years old.
“We regret to inform you that the minister and former PSD president Hargit Mircha Dusha died this morning. May God rest with him,” said a message sent to PSD Harghita.
For their part, Mihai Fifor – also a former defense minister – and PSD leader Marcel Čolaku said that in all the positions he held, Mircea Duša “performed his duty with honor and respect for public interests.”
“It is with great sadness that I learned about the disappearance of our social democrat Mirchi Dusa this morning. In all the public positions he held, be it minister of defense, interior affairs or relations with the parliament, prefect or parliamentarian, Mircea Duša fulfilled his duty with honor and respect for public interests. May God rest him in peace,” the SDP leader said in a message.
Mircha Dusha was born on April 1, 1955 in Toplica, Harghita district.
He was Minister of Defense in the governments of Ponta, Minister of the Interior, Minister for Parliamentary Relations, and Deputy and Prefect of the County of Mures.
