The prosecutor’s office demands to remove immunity from Pacis

The Prosecutor of Appeal demanded that parliament lift the immunity of MP Andreas Patsis in order to hold him accountable for violating the pothen esches law, in accordance with what is prescribed by law. Prosecutor Charalambos Tsonis, who handled the case of Andreas Pacis after it was referred by Parliament and the Poten Esches competent committee, decided that there was enough evidence against the MP who was expelled from New Democracy and is now an independent for a number of violations of the “location” legislation such as inaccurate or incomplete property declarations and others.

The offenses for which a deputy will be prosecuted if parliament proceeds to remove his parliamentary immunity, according to the law in force today, are misdemeanors. After that, the corresponding decision of the parliament is expected in order to proceed with further procedures for the criminal prosecution of Andreas Patsis.
